Ricoh sample photo gallery : Recently Ricoh introduced a stylish compact camera; the Ricoh R10. This compact camera was one of the showpieces at the Ricoh booth during the Photokina show. The Ricoh R10 features a 10 Megapixel CCD and a 7.1x wide angle zoom lens. The new Rioch camera is beautifully finished and has a solid feel to it. The test sample we received has a unique color setting in a brown, dark grey and metallic look. In the very near future a sample will be welcomed in our DIWA lab too and will be tested rigorously according to DIWA’s standardized test procedure. DIWA Lab test results will be combined with the test in practice and subsequently a full Ricoh R10 review will be published.

In anticipation of this, we give you some sample photos that were made with a Ricoh R10. The Ricoh R10 features an optical zoom range of 28-200 mm and displays its images on a high quality 460,000 dot HVGA 3 inch monitor. Ricoh tries to stand out from the masses by equipping the R10 with unique features. In addition to the aforementioned high quality monitor, the camera offers an electronic level. The new electronic level is convenient for keeping the camera level when shooting landscapes, buildings, and other scenes where tilting of the subject is a concern. The electronic level works horizontally as well as vertically. The Ricoh R10 digital camera combines an effective 10 megapixel 1/2.3-inch CCD image sensor with a new Smooth Imaging Engine III, an image processing engine that is expected to deliver an improved image quality. Ricoh refuses to join the Megapixel race and focuses on controlling the pixel quality and signal/noise ratio. We consider this a positive decision. The Ricoh R10 digital camera will be reviewed soon and the final conclusion of this camera will be available before long.
Ricoh photo gallery The Ricoh test photos were taken with a full production camera which means that this model is equal to the camera model that the consumer can expect to purchase. The Ricoh sample photos have been taken in the centre and surroundings of Purmerend (a small town near Amsterdam, the Netherlands). The images in this article have been reduced to enable correct reproduction and compressed to ensure a faster loading time. The original large photos – to be downloaded – are the original, unedited Ricoh R10 photos.
